Cape Town hotels offer sea, mountain and city views

I recently attended a conference in Europe and had the privilege to stay in a brand new five star hotel on the outskirts of the city. The food was great, the room beautifully decorated and the service superb, but I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed when I opened the curtains and found myself looking at construction sites on both sides of the room. While the city itself is exquisite and offers beautiful views of the lake, the room offered no hint of European bliss.

One of the best things about the hotels in Cape Town is that even if you get the “back room” you will most likely have a great view of the city. The recent Cape Town hotel development craze equipped the city with an enormous amount of choice. Whether you prefer mountain, see or city views, you are bound to find it somewhere near the city bowl.

The current Cape Town hotel offerings have the advantage that visitors can choose between a range of recently developed contemporary hotel choices as well as established five star hotels who proved itself as viable long term products with excellent offering and service.

While visitors usually don’t choose a hotel solely for its majestic views, Cape Town is probably the South African city where the view matters most. In recent times, businesses had to cut back on travel spending and chances are that you might have ended up in a Cape Town hotel room without the view. The great thing about the Mother City though, is that you are bound to be rewarded with a magnificent scene no matter where you stay.

Even if you are rewarded the “back room”, most of the Cape Town hotels have a lot to offer – take a stroll on the city’s beaches, take the cable car up Table Mountain or grab a bite to eat in one of the city’s restaurants – some of the best restaurants in the city are located inside the Cape Town hotels.
